Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, joined her husband Prince William at the Festival of Remembrance in London’s Royal Albert Hall on Saturday. The event honors fallen service personnel from World War I and World War II.<\/p>\n
The 42-year-old princess made her second official public appearance since completing preventative chemotherapy on September 9. Kate’s been in a new phase of recovery after revealing in March she had an undisclosed form of cancer.<\/p>\n
Last month, Kate made a surprise visit to Southport to show support after a local tragedy. She’s planning to take on a few more public engagements in the coming months, including Remembrance Day events and her annual Christmas carol concert.<\/p>\n
King Charles III, 75, also attended the Festival of Remembrance. The King’s been dealing with his own health challenges since February when doctors caught a form of cancer early after a prostate procedure.<\/p>\n
Queen Camilla couldn’t make it to the event. Her doctors advised her to stay home due to a seasonal chest infection.<\/p>\n
The royal family will gather again on Sunday for a ceremony at the Cenotaph war memorial. King Charles III will lay a wreath to honor the fallen.<\/p>\n
Kate’s been slowly returning to public life since her cancer treatment ended. She’s made unofficial appearances at Charles’ birthday celebration in June and at Wimbledon in July.<\/p>\n
“I’m doing well and getting stronger every day,” Kate said in a recent statement.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
The Princess of Wales has received an outpouring of support from the public during her health journey.
