Sean “Diddy” Combs faces new accusations from prosecutors. They claim he’s breaking jail rules and using his children to sway potential jurors.

Combs sits in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. He’s been there since September when he was indicted on serious charges. These include sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Two federal judges have denied him bail, and his trial is set for May 2025.

On Friday, Nov. 15, court documents revealed fresh allegations against Combs. Prosecutors say he’s trying to dodge law enforcement monitoring. They claim he’s using other inmates’ phone codes, making three-way calls, and using an unauthorized messaging service called ContactMeASAP.

“Combs has engaged in a relentless course of obstructive conduct designed to subvert the integrity of the proceedings,” the prosecutors stated.

They also accuse Combs of trying to influence witness testimony. They say he’s orchestrating social media campaigns, attempting to leak helpful materials, and contacting witnesses through third parties.

One specific allegation involves Combs’ children. Prosecutors say he enlisted them to plan and execute a social media campaign around his birthday. On Nov. 4, his son Justin posted an Instagram Reel. It showed Combs’ seven children calling him in prison to wish him happy birthday. Combs allegedly monitored the analytics of this footage and discussed with his family how to make sure it had the desired effect on potential jury members.

The prosecution argues that Combs is a danger to others and has an incentive to flee. They say his proposed $50 million bail package isn’t enough. They’re particularly concerned about his “relentless efforts to contact potential witnesses, including victims of abuse.”

Combs’ defense team filed a motion for bail on Nov. 8. They argue the prosecution’s case is “thin” and that a March 2016 video shows a consensual relationship, not a coerced “freak off” as alleged.

The case centers around these so-called “freak offs” – allegedly coerced sex performances organized by Combs. He’s pleaded not guilty to all charges.

As this legal battle continues, it’s clear that both sides are gearing up for a fierce fight in court. The outcome remains uncertain, but the stakes for Combs couldn’t be higher.
