In a new advertising campaign, Ozzy Osbourne aims to prevent the misuse of Liquid Death’s latest product, Death Dust. The ad aired recently by Consequence features the iconic rock musician interrupting two teenagers with a stern yet humorous warning about handling the electrolyte mix. The commercial gained attention for its blend of humor and serious advice, reflecting Osbourne’s own infamous history with substances.
In the advertisement, as the teens prepare to add Death Dust to water, Osbourne unexpectedly appears and advises against snorting, freebasing, injecting, or boofing the product. He cautions them with his characteristic bluntness, “Death Dust? Take it from me, don’t snort that stuff.” He continues stressing proper usage by adding, “Whatever you do, don’t try freebasing it. And never ever inject it.” He wraps up his warnings with a touch of humor – “And don’t even think about boofing it, you little perverts.”
Liquid Death markets Death Dust as an electrolyte mixture housed in small packets designed to enhance hydration when added to water. The brand is known for its connection to heavy metal themes. Prior marketing efforts included featuring Judas Priest during a Super Bowl event.
Osbourne’s involvement in commercials has been notable previously. Last year he was seen overly enjoying a Playstation VR2 headset in an ad which was much to Sharon’s disapproval. He has also starred alongside Billy Idol and Paul Stanley in a Super Bowl commercial for Workday.
